Dearest Daughter,
Happy 6th Months Lydia!! Over the past few months we have really adjusted to having a girl in our family and honestly your father and I couldn't imagine life without you now. You have brought so much joy and sweetness to our family. You are very easy going, only upset if you are in pain or overly hungry, and you have such a bright personality. I think you are going to be one of those bubbly people who are just happy all the time. You are definitely less moody than your brother was at this age haha. We love watching you grow and explore new things.
You have discovered your feet the last few months and love playing with them, in fact you are a pro at taking off your socks and shoes just to get to your toes! You almost constantly have fingers in your mouth these days as you teeth but you are taking it like a champ. There is a tooth trying so hard to break through on your bottom gum on the left side, but it hasnt quite made it yet, I will not be surprised if that happens in the next month. You are also getting your knees under you while on your tummy and you are trying your hardest to scoot! Daddy and I aren't quite ready for you to be mobile just yet so dont worry to much about learning that yet, just relax and enjoy the cuddles ok? =) The rest will come in time, I promise.
ou kind of naturally just weaned off breastfeeding this month as my milk gradually dried up, which was really hard on me, but I tried my best and I am so thankful we were successful for so long! You are really loving solid foods in fact we realized the other day that you really need them more than once a day because if not you are still super hungry after a bottle. Ironically, you have never really liked pacifiers at all, you have used one maybe 5 times your whole life and not for more than like 10 mins at a time. At first they kind of gagged you because you were so little, but then even as you grew you didnt really care about them.
You had a HUGE growth spurt this month! Dr. Madden said that you are now in the 25th percentile for weight and 50th for height!! We worked so hard for that but you finally caught up baby! You are so beautiful baby girl! The first thing I noticed about you when you were born was how big and beautiful your blue eyes were, and that is still the first thing everyone notices and says about you. The second is that you have such a beautiful smile that just charms everyone!
I love every single precious moment I get with you, even if you are upset. In fact one of the most adorable things you do right now is "yell" at your daddy to pick you up before bed because you want to fall asleep cuddling with him, and most nights you refuse to fall asleep without this haha. Daddy always wants to get stuff done but in the end he gives in, and we both just soak in the cuddles cause we know they dont last forever...
We love you princess, now and forever!!
