We started our Easter off at home searching for Easter eggs and discovering the Easter basket left for Lucas! Then we went to church and celebrated the beautiful resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. After church we joined my family for an Easter brunch and more Easter egg and basket finding. After lots of cousin fun and time with family, we decided to go home and take a quick nap. Then that evening we headed over to Jeremy's family's place for Easter dinner and of course more Easter egg and basket hunting =) We had a very fun first Easter with our little boy! I cant believe how big he is and his outfit (from his Great-Grandma Osler) made him look so grown up! We hope you and your family had a wonderful holiday as well!

We dyed Easter eggs today at my parents place, and Lucas was a bit confused but thought that dropping eggs in cups and smashing them was a lot of fun lol. It seems like only yesterday we were dying eggs in yellow and green with the words "baby Long" on them cause we hadn't found out yet what we were having! Here we are a year later with our precious little boy and he is making his own eggs. Last year at this time he wasn't even big enough to tell gender yet and now he is a crawling (nearly walking) big boy! Time is just going by way too fast! One of my best friends lives a few hours away from us and so we hardly ever get to see her. But magically all of our schedules synchronized perfectly yesterday and we were able to get together and hang out in Denver for a bit! Our first stop was the Denver Aquarium. Jeremy and I hadn't been there since we were kids and they have updated it a lot since then. I was not $17/person impressed but it was fun none the less. Here are some of my favorite pictures there: Getting in some fun time with Auntie Mel =D Hanging out with Auntie Caitlin =D Her scarf was like the best thing ever! We found Dory, and LOTS of Nemos! After the aquarium we went over to the new doughnut shop in Denver called VooDoo Doughnuts. Jeremy has only been talking about this place since in opened weeks ago, carefully reading the website and picking out way in advance which doughnuts he wanted to try first. Apparently it is quite a big deal in Portland and I gotta say they were the best specialty doughnuts I have ever had! However, our day was cut a bit short when the nice cashier at the shop gave Lucas a baby sized doughnut and we only let him have a little but he started breaking out in hives and we had to make a quick stop at King Soopers for some Benadryl to stop the allergic reaction. Ooops! Still not sure what caused it but we wont be trying that again for a while! We still had a lovely day and are so thankful to have had such a great time with two amazing friends =)
