We have always loved the Ren Fest but this year was extra special because it was Luke's first time going!! We had a blast with my parents and even though it was blazing hot (as it always is) we did get a little sprinkle in the afternoon that cooled off the day. We started at the "new" Puke and Snot show which was pretty good but not as good as it used to be. Then after a bit of lunch (which seriously why can't we get some mayo for the roast beef sandwiches? lol) we watched the Celtic Legacy show and Lucas LOVED it! He was dancing and jumping all over the place! Then watched the Big Cats show which most of it Lucas didnt really care about but when the big kitties came out he started waving at them lol We had such a great time and by the end of the day we had one sleeping baby (mission accomplished.) We cant wait to take him back next year!

Every year since we have been married, we have done a combined Birthday Celebration on my birthday the 4th but after a few years of our families begging us to separate them, we finally did this year. So for Jeremy's birthday we went to Dim Sum after church with our families and friends and enjoyed a nice brunch together. =)
I am so fortunate to have my birthday on the 4th of July because it is already a day most people have off work and we can get the two families together for a fun day of swimming, BBQ, and fireworks! We were blessed to have my mother-in-law with us this year as she was supposed to be working but got off early! We also got to celebrate with Jeremy's best friend Seth and his brother Ryan, and my best friend Caitlin. The only family missing was my brother and sister-in-law, but my brother is now a wonderful firefighter and got to shoot off the fireworks at Fort Lupton's family fair. We missed them but we completely understood. Here are few pictures from our day at my in-laws: We had a great time playing Telestrations (if you have not bought this game yet you should!) and then we celebrated my birthday with cake and ice cream =D A little blurry but its Luke's first taste of birthday cake! Once it was dark we then moved the party over my parent's house...I dont think we got enough fireworks =P
