Here's one last picture though, this day happened to be my sister's 21st birthday!! So at the airport before boarding the plane we bought her, her first legal drink!! =D
Continued from Part 1: The next morning, My brother, his wife, and his kids had to head back to Colorado and Lucas wasn't very happy about that but then we got a special surprise! Some friends of ours from our church moved out to California in December and we had a chance to see them for a few moments, it was so great to see how well they are doing and get some hugs in! Then we headed back over to my Aunt's house for the day. We had a great day hanging out and playing in the backyard. My Dad even helped my 2nd cousin Hayden, build a rocket and then we all went to the park to shoot them off. After doing rockets, my cousin Anna and I, took the boys over to this super cool train station playground, Lucas loved it!! The next morning Lucas was missing his cousins and his Uncle Josh and Aunt E, so he played all morning on the phone (not plugged in) pretending to call each of them, it was adorable. After that we headed over to my Aunt's for one last goodbye and then went to see my cousin Nick. Nick died due to Hemophilia and Hepatitis complications in 2008 at age 26 =( We all still miss him very much and I know if he was still alive today he would have gotten along well with my husband and loved my son. It was an honor to take them both to his grave and to show them all the pictures/things/places at my aunt's house that remind me of him and who he was. Our trip had come to an end, so we drove back to San Jose to fly back home to Colorado. The second flight was amazingly even better for Lucas, he slept the entire time! The only hard part was once we landed and got back to our car, we had to unbury it from under like 3 feet of snow!!!
